I discretely slip off my socks and stuff them in my purse if I overheat when back inside, which allows me to try to regulate body temp. OH! My staple is ice-tea or ice-water. It has to have actual ice in it (otherwise it just isn't cold enough). Like many here, ice-packs can often cause pain, so cooling the body from the inside is fast, and doesn't hurt. The family has gotten used to mom changing outfits 3-4 times per day (I stack them and often re-wear for a couple of days, as sometime my temp changes after only 10 minutes, and as long as the clothes are fresh, no sense adding to my laundry load!).
Excellent post! I love to hear other peoples ideas!

i can relate to that. just sleeveless. fortunately, i live in florida, but when it drops below 50 i wear a winter puffy vest (sleeveless) and people look at me like i'm crazy. oh well. all my clothes are in a pile because it's too painful to try to put things on hangers. besides i also only wear them briefly, just drs visits and quick grocery/drug store runs. otherwise i'm in loose yoga or pj pants with a tank top. amazing how that always makes me feel a little better.
