Default Me and meds just don't get along :(

Well, it's been a fun three years with the DMD's. If you've been following or heard rumor of my med saga - it's been hectic.

First med was Copax. Was doing pretty well on it, then last year I had too many IPIRs back to back. It was to the point that I was having one every other time I took the shot. So that option went out the window. Then this past week, I've had an allergic reaction to Rebif. Even took the chance and tried a shot from a new batch as a just in case we had a bad one. Nope. Still had the reaction.

Neuro was pushing Ty, but -after much discussion- my hubby and I agreed that the PML chance was too high for someone like me who has a wealth of rare side effects under her belt for a ton of meds. Waiting to hear what to do from here, but it looks like I'm gonna be a med free person here on out.

Of course my biggest issue is that my MRIs have been stable since September of '07. Not looking forward to that changing, but the meds and I just aren't working well together. I've been fortunate that both DMD's kept stuff from appearing, and from the beginning - even with my doubts - I believed trying the drugs would be worth it if they gave me even 2 years that I wouldn't have had without them. Not gonna miss the shots, but will miss the peace of mind I had.

Thanks for listening.
