I think hey usually send a copy to a tech to "read" it and they write up a report with results, your Dr might want to review it himself also. this part takes some time.
You might call DSrs office and leave a message about the ins concern.
If nothing is "found" you may not need a follow up appt.
Just curious , what was the reason for the MRI?
what symptoms are you having?
Maybe we can help from that direction.
