You need to ascertain the degree of your adrenal insufficiency. Mild adrenal insufficiency can be treated with vitamins and rest, but moderate to severe requires supplements and medications. Adrenal insufficiency can lead to adrenal fatigue, which is pretty nasty. So, it is important to nip it in the bud right away. Do a 24 hour saliva cortisol test to determine this. If you suspect Adrenal insufficiency, then you should also get your thyroid checked as these two things often go hand in hand. Make sure to get your TSH, FT4, FT3 and RT3 checked. There is a good yahoo group on adrenal insufficiency and thyroid hormones that you can look up and join and get tons of info from. And, again, I would skip on the neurotransmitter evaluation until you get your adrenals up to par.
