Hi Momlovetobake,
Sandy mentioned "mindfully-based stress reduction" which is a series of 8 classes over an 8 week period. Most include a full one day of being together with your group to practice all the skills you're learning...
Some centers call the series of classes by a different name....but if you call a large local hospital or a pain mangement center they may know where a course is being offered....
It teaches you how to manage your pain through relaxation, visualization, meditation, and talking it out with eachother.
I had some very LOW pain levels while I was taking this course...and I attended after work when I was completely exhausted..but the techniques were soooo helpful...
I hope you look into it or something similar...
My pain has been really bad latelyand I try to break it down minute by minute and ease into the pain instad of resisting it...
It is very difficult but with some training and practice, you might find that it might be helpful...
Sometimes I cry, expecially to someone who understands and that seems to help.....it's a release of tension......
I hope you find some relief..
Hugs,
hope4thebest
