Where you are they probably stay? I have read that some stay in Florida.

I used this for my area last year and it was pretty accurate:

Mine usually come when the Mertensia (Virginia bluebells) are blooming.

They eat mostly bugs you know, the feeders are just for quick refueling etc. When nesting bugs provide the protein for the chicks.
