Refrigerator Haiku

Verdant furry tufts
Tiny fairy forests there
Primordial soup

Is it cottage cheese
In that carton in the back?
It looks like it now

Fetid and fusty
Neglected and putrefied
Best taste by June 09

Fuzzy little clumps
Of mush that smells. It will
Surely be thrown out

You should have had it
When it was still fresh and new
Out it goes, Today!
