Hi Marion,
I have to agree with the majority here. The Provigil had a positive effect on me for 4-5 years but then it stopped working. The Amantadine seemed like taking nothing, sorry to say.

I hope it works for you. We all are so different so you never can tell. And yes, Provigil and Nuvigil, are too pricey. Way out of the ball park if you don't have insurance. I have ins but the co-pay is too high on medications over $500.00.

Instead of Provigil, I take a nap. When I worked it helped me to stay awake. It does not cure fatigue, it just keeps you awake. I had to drive back and forth to work plus the min. 8+ hour day.

Kitty, most medications are good for one year. After one year they lose efficiency by 20 to 30 percent a year. Some meds are not good at all after the expiration date. Check with your pharmacy, okay?
