Dh goes out and about the house looking...and hasn't found them 'doing it' yet? Tho last year, the wood siding did get a good dent in it that was filled in w/putty. They sound like pileateds, but I've not really seen one in about 10+ years [they are MAGNIFICENT creatures tho]. We'd had some big trees taken down that'd gotten too big/old to be safe....The smaller guys sure can make a racket tho? No matter their size, whereever they peck- It can reverberate throughout the house! And, of course, they are just above, or truly under the eaves where you just can't see them!
Not to mention that they tend to DO IT only at sunrise? Anyone know of any home remedies? I'd hate to call the exterminators in on this one, you know what I mean.......Thanks to all!
