The meds we take tend to dry out our eyes & mouth & even other areas..........
I was dx'ed with Sjogrens Syndrome the summer before RSD hit me. I fought dry eyes since late '90s. See Sjogrens is another syndrome that is misdiagnosed & takes years to get the dx. My dry mouth was so bad that I ended up loosing all my teeth from it. Especially after 9 months with no presecription coverage when I couldn't buy Evoxac. It is the only med out there they prescribe for Sjogrens. It helps the salivary glands to work better if they haven't stopped working completely. Well I swear it helps with my dry eyes too. Of course I keep Refresh Plus in business too *LOL* I have had wear they get so dry that the cornea splits open & maybe that is why your eyes burn & hurt so badly. Now days eye doctors will put a contact in place for it to heal but if bad enough they perform a surgery to injure the eye more so it will heal up. You don't want that to happen because once the numbing eye drop wears off the pain is sooooooooo bad. It is worse than RSD pain & I am not kidding except that in 24 hrs it is gone, the eye pain I mean. Now if you say your eyes water alot that doesn't mean you dont have dry eyes. Mine water horribly at times especially the worst eye of the two. What that means is that I don't have lubricating type tears anymore. They are like the tears we have from crying which can actually dry your eyes out. That is why they burn & feel so dry after a good cry. I also use alot of eye ointment to keep my corneas from splitting open too.
Now about eye sight. One of my eyes has gone from near sightedness to far sightedness. Man I couldn't see for crap anymore as they were battling each other all the time. With new glasses they are much better & I can finally see again.
