it's hard, but you just have to do it. without help, you won't be able to be there either. it can be too much.

letting the new person who is helping explain to your friend might be a good idea.

i have a little experience dealing with hospice care. the one who was supposed to help with my brother is the one who explained why she was there. she put it that she was going to be there more for us who were taking care of him, rather than we "didn't want to" take care of him. he didn't want strangers around, but this he understood.

on just the caregiving stand point. i still can't get my folks to get any help to come into their home. but they are moving closer to me, so hopefully that will help.
