I think most of those game boxes {x box, PlayStation etc} now have like a mini computer inside of them with a hard drive and main board.

at least my son's XBox does.
He can go online, download games, play games, check email, movies, play movies on it & he has a extra hard drive for it too.

I tried it once but the way it is set up and the controller is not as easy as my computers LOL.

But to do that it would need a router, just like setting up another computer. except the TV is your screen.
