Good grief, that sounds like you went thru a nightmare! It also sounds like that was the FIRST spinal that the anesthesiologist did!!! Shame on him for putting you thru that!

I've never heard of having a reaction 5 years later. I think probably you have something unrelated going on, but who knows? Is the pain constant? Do you ever get any relief from it? I think I'd ask for some studies to be done, i.e. an MRI with and without contrast material. If this has been going on for quite awhile and it's not getting any better, you need to know what's happening. Talk to your doc about it and see what he'll do for you.
