Barbara, I too am as confused as you are. I was diagnosed in 1986 with RSD and the next thing I have crps with no apparent reason. You said you heard it was renamed because it doesn't spread thats bologna.Mine started in my lower right leg, and now I have it in every part of my body.I think they are like you said , they are one in the same.
