I notice that a lot of your dxs are really symptoms with enough of a name tag to keep you quiet long enough to get you out of the office. They didn't know that they were dealing with a pro.
I've been wondering about similar questions myself relating to my self dx. In 2000 I went to neuro 2 because I was having periods when I could barely walk. Neuro 1 had said essential tremor in 1992 and I had been stable since. The flu in 1999 changed things and March 2000 I was official.
I wonder why symptoms have not changed in nature? Intensity and frequency, yes. But it is still periods of difficulty walking.
Why do these also become paralyzing at times almost on a schedule? And why does potassium frequently rescue me from these as does B-complex?

multiple system atrophy... (laughable since i had already had the pd dxd over 15 years)
conversion disorder
gait disturbance
makes me ponder.. how can they search for a cure for something that hasnt even been positively diagnosed?
