I had a minor accident yesterday with my right thumb.
I won't go into the stupid thing that happened to me, which was my fault, but let's just say this "accident" ripped the nail bed on the left side of my right thumb. To say this has been painful, is an understatement.
It throbbed all night. It is throbbing now. Everything I touch, or do hurts it. I finally soaked it for a long time in epsom salts, and then put Americaine ointment on it (strong benzocaine stuff) and wrapped it in a cushioned bandage...and it is tolerable now. I will redress it with antibiotic again, tonight to keep the risk of infection down.
It doesn't even look bad....but sheesh...every nerve in my finger must be throbbing today. I sure hope I can sleep tonight.
I can certainly understand hand problems today!.
