For years I have had a cervical traction device that works well, but I have to lay on the floor (flat, firm surface). I can't see the tv from that angle and I can't hold my arms up to read a book, so it's boring. Plus, just getting on and off the floor adds to my pain. It is to big and bulky to easily take with me when I go out....and I wouldn't want to lay on the floor in a store or similar place. That unit was similar to this: http://www.lgmedsupply.com/cetr.html

Last year I purchased a portable version that I love ! If I'm in a store, friend's house etc I can use it sitting in a chair. This is the new one that I highly recommend: http://www.lgmedsupply.com/ponethdel.html

That company, lgmedical, has great prices on TENS units and stuff too.
