I am at work right now, and have not gotten a chance to read all the posts posted today, but wanted to Thank everyone for their great advice and encouragement. We went to the doctor yesterday and the doctor is fantastic. He asked a lot of questions did a lot of blood and urine tests and a chest xray and was absolutely wonderful. He was impressed I brought in all this paperwork, refused to write a prescription for the strong opiates, but told my husband to take the gabapentin prescribed, (which he now is) He told us to call him in a week. He is very concerned and really wants to help my husband get better, and discussed with my husband the drinking in a way that was very respectful yet honest. My husband was very very happy with him. So that was a huge load off my back. yay yay yay! Thanks for all your great and advice, prayers and encouragment. I will keep you posted. Thanks Monika
