Default Depends on what he means by "active."

The interviewee seemed to take great pride in the fact that he continued to work until India's mandatory retirement age. Depending on what his job was, when he was diagnosed, and what symptoms (psychological or physical) were more prominent for him. Some are too disabling to continue to work while others are inconvenient, but allow work to continue.

As far calling "active" a hobby, define active. I play music in a group, would if I didn't have PD. I ride a bike, walk a dog, do housework. Are these activities or hobbies? I would do them if I had PD or not. Can't say the phrase "My hobby is to stay active" makes much sence to me.
