Yup... I am gluten intolerant but no sign of enteropathy. Did the enterolab tests. My vitamin b12 is perfect but D was low, so am taking supplements for that. Even though I inherited a DQ1 from each of my parents, neither shows any signs of being gluten intolerant. So that still leaves me with lots of questions. I'm hoping the neuropathy is gluten related, but want to cover all bases in case there's something else "afoot" that I need to address.
My mom doesn't have any issues with gluten, although she often eats gluten free with my dad...she still eats gluten though. My dad is a diagnosed celiac, by endoscopy, never having had his genes checked. I got one DQ1 gene from each parent.

We urge all doctors to take time to listen to your patients.. don't "isolate" symptoms but look at the whole spectrum. If a patient tells you s/he feels as if s/he's falling apart and "nothing seems to be working properly", chances are s/he's right!
