Hi, Joey.... We have a MP forum here. You should look at it.

Many things will cause this, and it is different for each person.

I had this as a result of a C-section surgery. It progressed to really painful stabbing attacks, that took my breath away.

When Lidoderm patches came out I used them and it sort of put the nerve to sleep. Now I only get twinges with over extension of my leg, or going into the steam room, or soaking in a hot tub.

Search Lidoderm on the MP forum for more information and
links to medical sites. MP can be misdiagnosed with trochanteric bursitis. Too tight clothing, a wallet in the back pocket, legs of different lengths, or abdominal surgery can trigger it. I have also heard that a blood clot in the thigh can trigger it, or a harvest of bone marrow from the pelvis bones.
