Hi Jenny,
As far as CD. Two of my kids have HLA DQ2 and one has HLA-DQ8. Two of them have problems with gluten but no diagnosis (diet before endoscopy or poorly done endoscopy). I do not have these genes but have HLA-DQ1 which is associated with neurological symptoms so that makes sense.
In the first few years of having an MS diagnosis I was taking many medications for MS (Avonex, baclofen, provigil, amitryptelene). Then I started to work with a holostic doctor to improve my thyroid and adrenal function. After adding lots of supplements and going GF, I was able to stop all of the medications except for thyroid medicine. I have had a substantial decrease in my remaining symptoms since removing the delayed food allergens. I have started having some eye problems though. I do not know what that is related to but I have problems with movement like overhead fans and blinking lights.
