Default Tape makes a difference

I had my first bad night since using the magnet for my back pain, and it was all because of the tape I used to secure it. I had been using a roll of 3M surgical tape that was left over from one of my surgeries, and it worked great. I could use it for 2 days, and that included changing positions when I didn't find the right spot the first time.

My neighbor stopped by over the weekend, complaining of lower back pain and I had just the thing for her. (Yes, mrsD, I'm magnetizing my friends ! ) So, I gave her 2 of my magnets and the end of the roll of 3M tape.

I had a new roll of Johnson & Johnson tape, that I opened last night. It looked the same, but it is awful. It is flimsy, and everytime I reached around to put it on my back the tape folded over on itself. Once it did that there was no prying it apart, and I had to start over with a new strip. I finally got my husband to help me, but that made it more difficult to find the right spot. And each time we removed it, we had to replace the strips because they lost all their adhesiveness.

We finally got it in place, and after about an hour the darn strips started sliding, folding in on themselves and digging into my skin. So, I've been on the internet in search of 3M surgical tape. I can't find any drug stores or even Walmart that carry it. It looks like I am going to have to buy a box of it over the internet.

mrsD, I know you said you buy the tape from Walmart. What brand is it? Walmart has several types of the Johnson & Johnson First Aid tape. The one I have is the All Purpose Clear Tape.
