Default Sounds like you are going thru lots ....

..you don't understand? First off start out w/this neuro site...
http://www.neuroexam.com/content.php?p=2

Then think...most neuro issues are either trauma [maybe?], illness [less likely] or inherited..[least likely]. Doesn't take a rocket surgeon to guess? that it's trauma? Therefore this other site is useful to boot:
http://www.aafp.org/afp/980215ap/poncelet.html
This is useful when you look at the 'charts' and the paths diagnosis can take due to what you tell your docs and how they go from there in TESTING for your issues.
Since I got an auto-immune neuropathy? All I can say is be grateful it's only your legs? At times I wanted to....well, won't go into that..but you likely know what I mean. You likely have damage? Tho to what extent and to which degree anyone in the MILITARY will admit to? Different kettle of fish...
IF it were ME? I would ask for copies of all medical reports to get to take for a second or even third OUTSIDE opinion! The sooner you get properly diagnosed and treated, the less long term damages there can be... I've been there more than once? It's not easy? But the alternatives are unacceptable.
Let us all know how you are doing, and don't be shy about questions! We all have gotten here from a lot of different directions. So we all see this 'differently' from each other, yet? We get along. Hugs 's - j
