support of bill for open access to materials
without the tongue in cheek statement in the previous post, PLEASE email the chariman of this committee noting your support of this bill. Without the public's voice, there will be no counter to the pharmaceutical industry and the publishing industry which publishes the medical journals. (pharma frequently purchases thousands of reprints of articles which are about their drugs-thus putting into the journals' coffers hundreds of thousands of dolllars e4ach time one of their studies/articles is accepted for publication. Buys a lot of influence. ) madelyn
