I agree with previou poster, if the SSA found out you would have to pay back all benefits and I think you are comitting fraud.
Nolo's 4th edition (his latest & best) discusses living overseas.
I would check very carefully with the government of the country you are considering whether they have taxes and if they report to the US expatriates working in their country.
You can earn up to $1,000a month legally (after expenses) and still lmaintain SSDI so if you stay under that limit there's no problem.
Yo do need to return to the US every so often, I thonk it's every 6 months.
Your airfare, etc. would be part of what you deduct from your income to help you stay under the $1,000 limit.
