Hi Laudette-

Your story is both frightening and a mystery, all of which I hope you may be able to solve through medical care and participation here! I have constant pain in my legs due to nerve injury courtesy of a serious car wreck. Sometimes I have had the feeling of them giving out on me; thus, I use a cane/wheelchair combination depending on circumstances as I continue to work through the medical regimen in an effort to better control pain and "get my legs back."
