The general rule of thumb is 1000IU D3 for each 10 ng/ml you need to raise. Your target should be 50-60ng/ml. (some more aggressive places suggest higher--but that is not accepted by many doctors).

So for 15 ng/ml (not moles) USA uses ng/ml....you'd need at least 4000IU D3 daily. Buy liquigels, and take with food for best results.

NOW brand just came out with a 5000IU...and that is what we take in non sunny summer months.

The D2 offered by doctors is not really the way to go.
There are several threads on our Vitamin forum. The doctors in Australia are using 4000IU D3 daily for their patients. I have a video explaining that:

Not everyone however raises 1000IUs with this ratio (10ng)...that is only an average. Best to be retested after 3 or 4 months to see if your dose is working for you.
