I just got home from the infusion center.
Fell asleep after she disconnected my IV, so she let me sleep for about a half hour before she taped up my IV port and sent me home.
I'm going to take a shower in a little bit and then am going to go lay down and see how much I can sleep and how long. Hoping to try to sleep from about 6pm tonight if I can till about 6am. (then get up, take another shower and go get my last infusion)
Some of that neurological pain seems to have let up on me. The hug went away, or at least that big snake that was trying to squeeze me to death the other night slithered off to take a nap.
I had really bad pain in my low back last night. Which may or not may not have been neurological. Maybe in some way it was. I've had a numb butt since this numbness started, which has made doing a particular bodily function a bit weird. Last night I had a problem with that. We'll just say that I probably wont have to do that for a couple of days now...and my back doesnt seem to hurt as much today. (wonder if there's a connection) I'm suddenly finding the need to go shopping for a new bathmat later next week too...and I need new bath towels...and a new pair of sweats....and some Clorox.
So, after about 4 or 5 days of oral steroids before I got my IVSM, and now I'm 2 days into a 3 day treatment of IVSM. I'm still numb. Not in as much pain as I was, and I'm sooooooooooo sleepy!
My left foot is more tingly than it was, but still numb...leg is still numb, but not as stiff and numb and tingly as the right leg and foot. Clothing still feels weird on my skin, especially the right leg and foot.
My stomach and chest are still a bit numb, but arent feeling as insanely painful as it was. That was literal torture. I'd have confessed to the Jack The Ripper killings and meant it if it could make it stop.
I used my mom's TENS machine to taser my invisible pet python that was trying to squeeze me to death this weekend. (that worked surprisingly well...I want a nicer and newer TENS unit for myself tho)
The TENS didnt make the Hug go away, but it did seem to help the "squeezing" feeling not be so....squeezy.
Now if I can just use all this stupid MS junk going on as an excuse to get rid of our houseguests, things would be so much better. Too many people in this house and I think that's what's stressed me out and made this flare so much flare-y-er.
Ok...naptime! Shower can wait!
