Welcome to NT

You are really on the right track. the more you ask and the more you find out, the more you can help yourself.

You will find much support here.

I've had 7 1/2 years of hell. MVA in 10-2000) 2009/2010 has been pretty good so far.

I also have went outside the box for other treatment methods. I learned from each. Some are wondersful.

Be vigilent and keep your eyes wide open when it comes to health care providers. You are your best advocate. Things can be made worse, by accident, I'm sure, but I don't need no extra boo-boos. So do get informed and ask all you want.

They should be addressing your complaints and symptoms and giving you a plan of treatment, even if there's some counseling involved or just advised, sometime in your future, I can tell you, I didn't get it but it probably wouldn't have hurt. It was recommended through pain management but somehow I flew under the radar. It is quite disturbing to find your world turned upside down and you can't fix it, because life keeps coming at ya...

Your plan of treatment will need to be amended as you progress or digress/regress. BTW, I don't regress gracefully.

In answer to your questions, I'm a stenographer. So for TOS with scalene involvement, neck/back/ arms, upper body and hands, forearms, wrists and fingers, thumbs, I'm sure it's an irritant. It has been difficult to say the least, but I've managed, by my own surprise, to still work. God takes care of me in spite of my fool self.

I had to give up driving long distances. Then somehow I was provided local work. Hummmm....

I do work at my workstation in articulating arm supports, both left and right. I used to use a support for my arms during depsoitions, I don't have to do that now, thank God.

Right now I'm really trying to strengthen my core and improve my posture and shed about 20 pounds. These are postive things that will improve my conditions.

Also drinking lots of water is necessary, to flush toxins and hydrate yourself, especially with meds.

We're here for you. We understand. No question is too silly.

One last thing. It's my pet peeve. "Don't put anything on the internet you woldn't want the whole world to see." Not to scare you away any. Just felt like that needs to be read from time to time. We all try to look out for each other.
