Welcome to NeuroTalk! I'm sorry that you have a need to be here, but it's great that your aneurysm has been found and can be fixed!

It's really hard to answer your question, as from what I've seen on the forums over the past few years it really is different for everybody as far as recovery goes. It all depends on exactly how your surgery goes and how your body personally responds. There are some people who return to work 2-3 weeks later, and others who take months. One thing that is common though is fatigue. Your body will want to sleep for the first few days - let it - your brain will want it and need it for it to heal. I agree with Chemar regarding your holiday so soon after your op - check with your neurosurgeon as to whether it will be ok to fly long distance so soon afterwards. I really hope you can go - what a great place to recover!!
