At a recent visit to the MS clinic to schedule my next MRI series to look for lesions, my doctor's assistant urged me to submit some art to the hospital's upcoming MS art exhibit "Living with MS." Although I have not yet been diagnosed, she encouraged me as a patient in the clinic to submit my artwork for consideration.
I can submit up to two pieces . . . here is my first:
Invisible Barrier, pastel on Canson MiTientes, 12"x16"
And the description:
"The artist looks longingly at the mountains through an invisible barrier between herself and the activity she had just begun to enjoy before her untimely side-lining. Inspired by Andrew Wyeth's "Christina's World," an enigmatic painting of longing and determination, the artist might be asking: Is there a way that those hills and peaks can once again become the artist's domain?"
