*** Sometimes I can walk great -- others not so great. When my wife introduced me to water exercise, well -- I am now a big fan and am lobbying for going 3 times a week.
*** Before I started having this problem, there were 2 reliables for me -- coffee and cigarettes. I've quit smoking and am only drinking decaf coffee now (not that the caffeine is the "active" ingredient).
*** It's hard to find any silver linings about my disease, but a bright and shiny one is my overall health has improved a lot because I've had to read and learn about my disease. Yesterday when I was shopping at Fred Meyer (a Pacific NW subsidiary of Kroger -- it's where we buy our staples), I noticed I was doing what the pain counselor last summer called "shopping at the edges" of the store. Milk, bread, vegetables and fruit. Pre-PN I would have just stopped at 7-11 to get beer, smokes and a Slim Jim.
*** The irony? I'll probably live longer and have several more years of pain.
*** Sheesh.
