Fexor, I am so sorry that I have nothing more to offer than suggestions. I had never heard of Babinski's, Hoffman's, or Chaddock's. I did a quick check and all seem to have some degree of spinal cord involvment in causation. Internal spinal cord damage I know about. I'm personally going through treatments to heal it some from my recent life-threatening illness. You need some kind of definitive testing, such as the recommended MRI.

At your age, is there any possibility that you can get on any insurance that your parents might have? Does your state have any type of medical assistance program? My state, Colorado, has one although our current Governor has made it very hard to find. Be persistant. Does your neurologist, who wrote the MRI orders, know of a local medical assistance group? Sometimes specialists. like radiologists, donate services to the community. Do you qualify for any ethnicity (don't know how else to describe this) programs? For example, some of our Native American/First Nations have programs that help with non-routine (like MRI) procedures.

The best I can suggest is to get a current blood test for all of your thyroid, protein, and vitamin levels. This is more than the routine blood test, I believe. Vitamin B's, particularly B12, can cause many problem. Complete thyroid testing (not just T3/T4). Many other organs depend on thyroid outputs - both too much or too little thyroid output are dangerous. Of course, the regular sodium test. And protein level. I always remember Drs saying somerhing about around 4 as normal; I was below 1 when I had problems. All this costs a bit more than a routine blood panel, but far less than an MRI. It's a good start.

At any rate, I truly wished I could suggest better. You still have my best wishes and hopes. Katie
