the Ornish diet is going to help with that, Bobby. i'm sure your GP considered that when she recommended it. You have taken other good steps too, like the dreamfields pasta.
The process of weight loss can affect blood parameters.
you mentioned seeing your GP soon. maybe you can just ask her about that. remind her you don't measure your blood sugar at home. she might want to check you out periodically. but she will know how to keep you safe.
for the monitor, i suspect that, once used to it, taking a glucose reading would be akin to getting on the scale or taking your temp. what if you for now just looked for it
without commitment to learning or using it? and maybe limit to 5 mins a day looking?
