Default SS Compasionate Allowances

Hello all. Though my balance has been going downholl for a few years now I just received a diagnosis of Spinocelebellar Ataxia 2 (through a genetic test). I am still able to work but I don't know for how much longer. Spinocelebellar Ataxia was recently added to the list for Compasionate Allowances by the SSA. Does anyone have experience with Compasionate Allowance claims? Thanks.

Dewey
