I enjoyed hearing about your sweat potatoes.
My husband bought a mini crock pot.
We peel the sweet potatoes, cut them up if they are big, add about 1/3 cup water and cook them on high for about 4 hours.

Your post reminded me that we could do the same with beets -- put them in a crock pot.

Do you ever make any soups? I'd love to hear a soup recipe.
