Having a blood screen for heavy metals, is really the best way to go. Some but not all respond to chelation therapy.

The pesticide testing would be more expensive, I think.

Arsenic is the most common heavy metal in rural areas(and wells). But mercury is also common in foods and fish, and some hobbies.
