I'm not trying to scare you, but thought it worth mentioning -- I'm allergic to the solumedrol so they use decadron instead. If you have any allergic symptoms, tell them right away -- for example, hives, reddened, hot skin, pressure in your chest, rapid heartbeat, etc. The first time it happened was at home with a home health nurse. When she called my neuro, he said stop it immediately! But as you can see by all the replies......most people tolerate the solumedrol just fine. Good luck....
