Jane, How was the first day of your IVSM treatment? I hope it went well and you are off to sleep right now. Remember to eat well again before the next treatment.
Just some FYI rambling:
Eddie, I had ten days of 1 gram (1000 mg) when I couldn't walk when I woke up, that time in 2005. My relapse went acute and oral didn't cut it.
It was out-patient treatment. I was pushed in a w/c and had to be in the infusion center very early in the morning.
I had them change the site every two to three days. Any break in the skin can infect, so I watched carefully for any skin problems. I was weak as a new born kitten.
After the 10th infusion, I started to use my scooter, then rollator. I know you are mostly in a w/c but I saw the strength you have in your arms, in your pictures. Excellent!
I still don't have strong arms. A manual chair never worked for me. From there I went back to my scooter, rollator, and lastly my cane. It took time for the IVSM to work.
Since LDN, I don't need my cane anymore. But you never know, I just don't dwell on it. I excercise doing balance training with my wobble board and excecises for my legs. My arms still are not strong.
I have steroids for my back-up, if needed. I have done 5 days a few times after, but never three.
