Welcome to NeuroTalk. This is an interesting post. Magnesium does help with muscle pain and spasms. But magnesium is essential for many other processes in the body.

Here is my magnesium information thread. It explains how to choose the right dose and type of oral supplement.

Estimates are that 70% of people in the US do not consume the RDA for magnesium. So if you start oral supplements, begin at 1/2 the RDA or about 200mg elemental.
