ERIC, DUDE!
This is an awesome post! You made me feel great just reading it. I can so relate to what you are talking about the "feelings" that result.
First is the wild thinking, then the buzz of rebellion to what you are told and "expected" to do, then the actual going out and doing it with a "to heck with the consequences later." Man! What a feeling!
My philosophy of life is, "don't even tell me I can't do something." I will do what I desire until or unless my body tells me otherwise. Scr*w common sense.
I love your drive, motivation, and rebellious attitude. YOU have taken control of yourself, refusing to be defined by others. GO FOR IT!
I often determine my actions based on this bit of wisdom. "Guilt weighs ounces, but regret weighs tons."
