These reports make me mad...
...and glad at the same time. On the one hand, I am glad that they have discovered the function (s) of this GST pi enzyme. It is not unheard of, but it is not common either that an enzyme should have more than one function. This one seems to play a major role in at least 2 different areas.
On the other hand, I am alarmed that more information relevant to the little tid bit of knowledge that GST pi is only one in a family of enzymes that acts as an antioxidant to scavenge and eliminate free radicals created by pesticides and other chemicals has not been brought to the forefront in cleansing our toxic bodies. I have sought for such enzymes. I wonder if this family of enzymes is effective against those chemicals whose makeup is part organic and part synthetic.
