Cymbalta is not habit forming. But, you do need to keep a blood level of the drug otherwise you will get side affects of the med. This is the same for neurontin - you need to keep a blood level on it.

I tried Cymbalta a few years ago. It permanently dialated my eyes until I got off of it. Keep that in mind as a side affect.
