Default Magnesium Glycinate or Magnesium chloride ( slowmag)

Hi

My 17 year old son has been taking magnesium glycinate from kirkman labs for years. He has aspergers, adhd, executive dysfunction, dysgraphia, communication issues etc. BUT he is also very high function and just comes across as quirky to most people. The Magnesium glycinate helps calm him down and keeps him from talking a mile a minute when he gets excited. Recently, I started taking slowmag 4 times a day and has helped me calm anger issues around menopause, has helped me with my IBS-C and I'm sleeping much better at night. I have to say it is pretty remarkable. But I definitely can feel 1 tablet stop working after about 5 hours. My question is what is better, lasts longer, is best for ADHD, magnesium glycinate or magnesium chloride (slowmag) or would you recommend something else?

Thanks in advance for your help
