Hi cvcman,

Yes it is ok to leave it if there is no decay at this time. Some dentists choose to put a filling material in these areas proactively, but others choose to monitor the area at each cleaning appointment and fill it if it starts to become decayed. Neither way is better than the other.

Makes sense?

Why dont they fill it with filling material ?? This is in the tooth I was having problems with after the one behind it was extracted so this tooth was THUROGHLY looked at by my dentist and the oral surgeon and neither said anything ??

The pit or tiny hole is right over the top of the cheek side filling. Seems they would want to put filling material in it but again neither seemed too concerned...

None of my other teeth have this is it ok do you feel to leave it
