i never thought of this song as happy or sad.

the strongest thing it elicits in me is nostalgia, which is almost a sadness over happy things. but i also find in it a sense of longing , hope and ... desperation - yes, opposites.

complicated blend of emotions for an otherwise pretty simple song. btw i have always liked this song.
