Your situation may be totally different, this is real early, you just had this done and sometimes the nerves just have to simmer down. I had another root canal that felt painful for a while...so yes, it is possible for it to simmer down. I will leave the expert advice to Bryanna but as far as infection, check your temperature and if you suspect something, get an x-ray in your possession (usually they can even email it to you so you can get a second opinion but you don't even have to tell them why). I am so sorry you're going through this. I have too but it settled down eventually, with MANY teeth. You may just be a real slow healer. Please post what the dentist says and how you feel.
