Let me share with you that I was told the same thing. Buldging disc 6-7 and sent to PT. When the PT started me on those things needed to help that problem, it flared it up worse.

It was then I went to a vascular surgeon for another opinion because I suspected TOS and was told I did have TOS. He said my discs were not buldging enough to be causing that kind of pain.

I would go ahead and go to PT. You will either have another flare up, or it may help completely if the buldging disc is the problem.
