I've never had gel nails but I have had acrylic. Never again.

I did this while I was working so the cost was not such an issue. But you have to go back for fill-ins and touchups regularly. Not going is not an option.....unless you don't care how your hands look.

After I had the acrylic nails taken off it took a good 6 months for my real nails to even look decent. Nevermind the damage that the fake nails did to them.

Ever since I've been taking LDN my hair and nails grow like crazy.

Gel nails might be different but I believe with all types of artificial nails you have to go back for touchups regularly. It can get to be expensive.
